JOIN NAJC

     WELCOME

We warmly invite you to be a part of NAJC!  We are a community of Jewish spiritual care providers who serve as chaplains in various healthcare, residential and communal settings.  Some of us work in hospice settings, long-term care facilities, and some in large acute-care hospital centers.  Some work in prison systems or in communal agencies that promote health and well-being.  We benefit from being part of an international network of spiritual care providers which supports bringing our best selves to our profession.

“Community is the human expression of Divine love.
It is where I am valued simply for who I am, how I live and what I give to others.
It is the place where they know my name.”
– Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, z”l

“I work as part of a diverse team of chaplains at a large medical center, where, for many years, I served as the only Jewish clergy.  I so appreciate being a part of NAJC where I can connect
with other Jewish colleagues who understand the specific needs and concerns of Judaism in a healthcare setting.”

—Rabbi Sara O’Donnell Adler, BCC

“NAJC is a beautiful example of klal Yisrael. Here is a supportive and respectful space for fellow Jewish chaplains: Orthodox, Reform, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Renewal—we are all part of the same team.”—Rabbi Ruth Smith, BCC
